On June 13, 2024, Chase announced a brand new location for their premier travel lounge, the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This comes as very exciting news for those who frequent LAX as a homebase or just passing through.

What We Know
The new Sapphire Lounge will be located inside the Tom Bradley International Terminal and it will consist of a 9,200+ square foot space. This lounge will take inspiration from Los Angeles as a whole.
Opening Date
Currently, there is no announced start date of construction nor opening date that is available. We will update this article once something official is announced. Don’t hold your breath, this might take a while given the Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) still is waiting on the opening of the Sapphire Lounge which was announced back in March of 2022.
What To Expect
From other Sapphire Lounges, we can expect complimentary food and drinks (including alcohol) with inspiration from the local community, digital media, seating, wellness offerings at select locations, and more.
Who Can Get In?
Currently there are three credit cards that will give you access to the Sapphire Lounge. These three cards are:
Chase Sapphire Reserve® - Currently available for new applications
J.P Morgan Reserve - Invite only
The Ritz-Carlton Credit Card - Legacy card, not open to new applications
Priority Pass Membership*
Of the three credit cards listed above, the Chase Sapphire Reserve® is currently the only credit card that you can apply for right now that will give you access to the Chase Sapphire Lounges.
*Priority Pass Membership only allows access to the Sapphire Lounge once per year.
Guest Access
The Chase Sapphire Reserve® and the J.P. Morgan Reserve Card allows for you and two additional guests access to the Sapphire Lounge free of charge. Additional guests will cost you $27. Any children 2 or under can accompany a cardholder free of charge.
The Ritz-Carlton Credit Card allows you and an unlimited amount of guests at no additional charge.
Things to Note
You MUST activate your complimentary Priority Pass Membership which comes with your Chase Sapphire Reserve®. If you are currently wanting to access the Sapphire Lounge by The Club now or in the future, the Chase Sapphire Reserve® is realistically your only option in terms of cards you can apply for right now which can get you access to this lounge.
